This Project Was a Huge Hit: Floating Vanity
Abracadabra! This suspended vanity will add modern style to any bathroom, and it's not difficult to build or to install.
Mounting a cabinet on the wall not only looks cool, but it's also practical: Leaving the floor exposed makes cleaning easier — and it creates the illusion of a roomier room. This design is also perfect for a small bathroom because the sliding doors eliminate the potential obstacles that swinging doors create. These doors glide smoothly on sliding door hardware.
Believe it or not, that's not real wood on the face. It's plastic laminate — a style called Wild Cherry from Wilsonart. When laminating, we left the plywood edges exposed — for visual interest and for ease of construction. So, if you've been looking for a project to try your hand at applying plastic laminate, this is a great one.
